It is Thursday Night Football for Manchester United !

Manchester United had an impressive start of the Champions League campaign but failed to climax. A point is all they needed to proceed to the knockout stages of the Uefa champions league. The 3 three times champions and 5 times finalists denied themselves a chance to proceed to the round of 16 when they were beaten 3-2 by their hosts RasenBallsport Leipzig.

Late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba could not sail them through. Leipzig were on the mark in the second minute of the match when Angelino volleyed the ball into the back of the net from a cross delivered by Marcel Sabitzer. Angelino who is on loan from the citizens was at it again when he put in a great cross for Amadou Haidara who volleyed the ball into the back of the net. It was a great finish VAR couldn’t stop it. The first half ended 2-0 in favor of the hosts.

RasenBallsport Leipzig were not yet done with the torments to the Red Devils, Justin Kluivert scored their third goal in the 69th minute taking advantage of a defensive error from Victor Lindelof. The kings of come back had a superb display in the match with 9 shots on target and a good ball possession , but all this couldn’t save them from Thursday night football unless a miracle happens in the suspended match between PSG and Istanbul Basaksehir that is to be resumed on Wednesday 9th December 2020.
