NTSA Warns Unprescribed Registration Plates Users

NTSA Warns Unprescribed Registration Plates Users: The National Transport and Safety Authority of Kenya ( NTSA) has noted with concern the widespread violation of Rule 5 (a) of the Traffic (Registration Plates) Rules of 2016.

The authority indicated that the number of vehicles with unauthorized plates which are also not of the prescribed design are conspicuous. This violation is against the mentioned rule that forbids civilians from manufacturing or selling reflective registration plate or third registration plate licenses without written consent from the Authority.

The authority has also noted that newly registered motorcycles are using printed paper to indicate the registration number as opposed to the prescribed registration plate as required by the law under section 12(1) of the traffic act.

The authority warned all those who are in violation of these laws to rectify immediately or face prosecution
