7th Heaven for The English Champions

No stone is being left unturned for Juergen Klopp’s side; the reds were on an attack mission at the Selhurst Park Stadium the home of Crystal Palace with a full display of their attacking force. They stated their mission early in the third minute when Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered one of his magical crosses to get Sadio Mane who directed the ball squarely in the box for Takumi Minamino to finish with a superb goal.

It was Takumi’s first premier league goal after he was signed up from Red Bull Salzburg. Liverpool was blazing again in the 35th minute this time with Sadio Mane. The African footballer of the year (2019) that gave the assist for the first goal gifted Klopp’s side their second goal.

The reigning champions were high blazing and in control of the match, in the 44th minute, Robertson delivered a great cross, which was converted into a goal by Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian provided the assist for the second goal; it seemed like those who gave the previous assist end up scoring the next goal. Liverpool commanded the first half, which ended 3-0 in favor of the visitors. The home side tried their chances but Liverpool’s Defense denied them a chance of celebration.

The second half started on high for the visitors with a notable substitution; Mohammed Salah came in for Sadio Mane (a goal-scoring machine for another), clearly stating their mission at Selhurst Park Stadium. In the 52nd minute, Trent Alexander-Arnold displayed his prowess, the English player is known for his crosses and killer passes. Trent delivered a great pass to Jordan Henderson who gave Liverpool their fourth goal. This was Trent’s second assist of the match.

Liverpool’s attack went a notch higher when Mohammed Salah carved the home side defense open with a killer through ball to Roberto Firmino who found himself in a one-on-one situation with the crystal palace Keeper Vicente Guaita in the 68th minute. Firmino got the better of the keeper with an excellent goal giving the visitors their 5th goal.

Mohammed Salah headed in Liverpool’s 6th goal in the 81st minute from a corner delivered by Trent Alexander- Arnold. This was his 12th goal of the season. The attack to the home side did not end there, 3 minutes later

Mohammed Salah did what he does best. The African footballer of the year (2017) who also received the FIFA club world cup Golden Ball award in 2019, gave Liverpool their 7th goal and his 13th for the season making him the leading scorer.
