Countrywide KDF Massive Recruitment Nov2021

The Ministry of Defence has advertised for Countrywide KDF Massive Recruitment. The recruitment shall be in the following categories:

• General Services officers (GSO) Cadets,
• Specialist officers
• General duty Recruits
• Tradesmen/women and
• Defense Forces Constables

The recruitment is scheduled to take place in the month of November 2021.

The Defense Forces’ Recruitment drive is free to all eligible candidates. General Eligibility for the Countrywide KDF Massive Recruitment

The prospective candidates willing to join the Kenya Defense Forces MUST meet the following conditions and academic qualifications.

General Conditions – Countrywide KDF Massive Recruitment

1. Be a Kenyan citizen
2. Be in possession of a valid national identity card (ID). Additionally, you must have four copies of the national identity card and PIN certificate will also be required.
3. To be within the following age brackets
   1. Between 18 to 26 for the GSO Cadets and General Duty recruits
   1. Not above 30 years for specialist officers and tradesmen/women with certificate/ government trade test.
   1. Not above the age of 39 for Chaplains/Imams and medical Consultants.
4. Have no criminal record
5. Candidates must meet the following minimum physical requirements.
   1. Minimum height for
      1. Men is 1.6 meters (5ft, 3inches).
      1. Women is 1.52 meters (5ft).
   1. Minimum weight for
      1. Men is 54.55 kgs(120 lbs.)
      1. Men is 50 kgs(110 lbs.)
   1. Body mass Index must be below 30.
   1. Female candidate must not be pregnant at the time of Recruitment and during the entire duration of training.
6. Medical: Candidates must be medically fit and skin must be healthy devoid of large or deep scars and Tattoos
7. Specialist officers and Tradesmen/women should have a minimum of two (2) years practicing experience in their field of specialization from the date of registration within the relevant regulatory/statutory body in Kenya.

Minimum Academic Qualifications – Countrywide KDF Massive Recruitment

The qualifications are specific to each group of recruits as follows:

General Service Officer (GSO) Cadets:

Must have attained a minimum grade of B (plain) in KCSE with a C+ (plus) in English, Mathematics and One Science subject. The training period for this category will cover three (3) years. General Service Officer (GSO) Cadet – graduate Degree Holders:

Must meet the requirements of a General Service Officer (GSO) Cadet as indicated above. Should be a degree holder from a recognized University/Institution in the advertised disciplines. Specialist Officers:

Must meet the requirements of a General Service Officer (GSO) Cadet as indicated above with the exception of Chaplains/Imams. The Chaplains/Imams must hold a minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE. Specialist Officers Must have a degree from a recognized University/Institution. They must be registered with a regulatory/statutory body where applicable in the disciplines that have been advertised. Check out the complete advert for details (Click Here). Servicemen/women (General Duty) Recruits:

Must hold a minimum mean grade of D (plain) in KCSE.

Tradesmen/women:

The prospective candidates willing to join this category must satisfy the conditions and requirements below:

Diploma: A Minimum mean grade of C (plain) in KCSE. A relevant diploma or above from a recognized institution and be registered with the relevant statutory bodies where applicable.

Certificate: A Minimum mean grade of D+ (Plus) in KCSE and either a relevant certificate with Government Trade Test Grade II or Craft II from a recognized Institution.

National Youth Service (NYS) trained Technicians or Artisans who meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply.

Constables:

• Be a retired Kenya Defence Forces Service Member or a retired National Youth serviceman/woman.
• Be between the ages of 30 and 55 years old for retired KDF and between 35 and 45 years for retired NYS.
• Possess a Discharge Certificate with a minimum rating of “Very Good” in conduct.
• Must have served for nine (9) years colour service and retired honourably from KDF.
