  • The vehicle needs to have an engine capacity of at most 1300cc (1300cc and below)
  • Vehicle needs to be in good condition and fulfill the general conditions above.

Requirement for Uber Comfort

This category was formerly referred to as Uber X. As the name suggests, this category is meant to offer comfort and elegance. Here are the requirements for the category.

  • The engine capacity of the vehicle should be between 1300 cc and 1800 cc.
  • Vehicle should be in good working condition that provide comfort and elegance.
  • The vehicle should also fulfill the general conditions sated above.

Uber Driver Documents and other Requirements

Below are some of the documents required for Uber drivers in Kenya:

  • A copy of National Identity card. Kindly note that the driver must be at least 24 years of age.
  • PSV driving license acquired through NTSA
  • Complete a safety screening for Drivers in Nairobi and Mombasa
  • Complete a Certification session
  • Provide a driver profile photo – Must be a forward-facing, centered photo including the driver’s full face and top of shoulders, with no sunglasses. The photo must be only of the driver with no other subject in the frame, well-lit, and in focus. It cannot be a driver’s license photo or other printed photograph
