GHC Africa Fellowship Program 2023

GHC Africa Fellowship Program is an exciting opportunity to build skills and gain experience with a high-impact health organization. Global Health Corps recruits and selects highly qualified applicants with diverse skill sets and backgrounds to be placed in high-impact organizations for a 13-month fellowship. During their fellowship year, fellows make significant contributions to their placement organizations and the communities they serve. They also engage in robust leadership training and integrate into GHC’s global network.

Eligibility for The GHC Africa Fellowship Program

  • By the start of the fellowship, fellows must:
  • Be 30 years of age or younger.
  • Hold a bachelor’s or undergraduate university degree.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Be a citizen or legal permanent resident of Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.

How to Apply for The GHC Africa Fellowship Program

The GHC Africa Fellowship Program application and review process are designed to assess your leadership fit for the GHC community as well as your skills fit for your fellowship role. Applicants may apply for up to three fellowship roles. Every year, they receive a high volume of amazing and inspiring applicants to join their fellowship class and can only accept a small percentage. However, about one-third of their fellows have applied more than once!

Applications close January 11, 2023

Applications close at 12:00PM (noon) EST / 7:00PM CAT / 8:00PM EAT. We encourage you to submit your application as soon as you can!

Recommendation forms due January 25, 2023

GHC requires one recommendation form submitted directly by your reference by January 25, 2023 at 12:00PM (noon) EST / 7:00PM CAT / 8:00PM EAT. They can’t consider your application without it!

Selecting Their next cohort!

GHC reviews applications January through February, conduct interviews in March and April, and make offers on a rolling basis starting in late April. The fellowship starts at their Training Institute in July 2023.
