The British Council of Kenya

The British Council of Kenya supports peace and prosperity by building connections, understanding and trust between people in the UK and countries worldwide.

They uniquely combine the UK’s deep expertise in arts and culture, education and the English language, their global presence and relationships in over 100 countries, their unparalleled access to young people and influencers and their creative sparkle.

The British Council works directly with individuals to help them gain the skills, confidence and connections to transform their lives and shape a better world in partnership with the UK. They support them to build networks and explore creative ideas, to learn English, to get a high-quality education and to gain internationally recognised qualifications.

The British Council of Kenya

They have been working in Kenya since 1947. Every year they connect with thousands of students, educators, policymakers, academics, creatives and entrepreneurs in Kenya. The focus of their work is on providing opportunities for young people through:

  • supporting young people to achieve the education, qualifications and skills needed to reach their potential in their future careers
  • creating and developing new networks and platforms to give young people a voice in society.
