Virtual Training on TIMS

Virtual Training on TIMS : The National Transport and Safety Authority – NTSA shall be conducting virtual training on how to navigate through their TIMS (Transport Integrated Management System) – (Virtual Training on TIMS ) which is used for management of registration details for motor vehicles, motorcycles, and other kinds of vehicles. Some of the services under TIMS include the transfer of motor vehicle ownership and new registration. 

The details of the virtual training are as per the below public notice issued by NTSA. 

PUBLIC NOTICE : NTSA VIRTUAL TIMS TRAINING REGISTRATION

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), under Section 2 (a) of the NTSA Act, No. 33, 2012 is mandated with the responsibility of registration and licensing of motor vehicles/motor cycles. 

In undertaking this mandate, the Authority is in the process of improving clients’ service experience through the Transport Integrated Management System (TIMS) in line with the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government’s 10 – Point Action Plan that aims to advance transformation of citizen service delivery by synchronization of various data sources to enable effciency. The revamped platform will be more effcient, reliable and will enable provision of better service delivery to the public and all stakeholders. 

Towards its roll out, taking cognizant of the challenges presented by the COVID -19 Pandemic, the Authority will facilitate virtual demonstration for appreciation and easier navigation of the system by the general public, motor vehicle/motor cycle owners, stakeholders such as dealers, Government Institutions, companies, public transport operators (PSVs, Taxis, Tour operators), heavy commercial vehicle operators, driving schools, financial institutions, cyber café operators among others.

To participate in the virtual training, interested stakeholders MUST register through the NTSA website https://www.ntsa.go.ke/site/timstraining/   by providing all required information on or before 24th, April 2021. A secure link will be shared via the email addresses provided during the registration process. 

NOTE: For smooth transition, we request all clients with pending/rejected processes to log into their TIMS account and complete applications by Monday, 26th April, 2021.
